Keyboard not working in steam games. I have I have tried numerous fixes that players created but none seem to work and the game won't even load in desktop mode with any but the default one. its a laptop keyboard, and ctrl is not stuck down. The mouse cursor appears on the screen and you can see it moving but that's it. 1 and am having the same problem where the Escape key does not function. Certain keys on my keyboard stop responding after playing games for a while. Steam has done something through the updates. The game doesn't i have the same problem,when m playing games my keyboard becomes unresponsive sometimes after 2 minutes and sometimes after two hours.
